Craig Morton was a great quarterback for the Denver Broncos. He played for the team from 1977 to 1982 and led them to two AFC Championship Games. However, Morton never won a Super Bowl with the Broncos.
Morton was born in Flint, Michigan in 1943. He played college football at the University of California, Berkeley and was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the 1965 NFL Draft. Morton played for the Cowboys for four seasons and won Super Bowl VI with the team in 1972.
After the 1974 season, Morton was traded to the Broncos. He played for the Broncos for five seasons and led them to two AFC Championship Games. However, the Broncos lost both games.
Morton retired from the NFL after the 1982 season. He finished his career with 22,068 passing yards, 165 touchdowns, and 153 interceptions.
Morton was a great quarterback, but he never won a Super Bowl with the Broncos. He was a member of the Broncos' Ring of Fame and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1993.
